Diversity comes with stress to handle diversification?

 

Diversity:

In a room full of students, you can find many different talents in each one. Some maybe useful for your work or task, some may not but they can be useful for something or someone else. It is called diversity; you have a variety of something which can be useful. Diversity is the vast ocean in which many employees or students of different talents are present and you can pick someone which you can use for your organization. Diversity has its own effect on business for example, diversity can bring conflict among workplace and group or team. Hence managing diversity in a workplace is very important and very challenging, as a company needs diversity for its growth and also not due to its adverse effects.

 

What is Diversity to HR?

In an organization there are various kinds of work in various departments and hence it is imperative to sort out the right talent in right place, which will assure for betterment of the organization. There might be similarities and differences between employees, understanding them is also necessary. Diversity can be from any aspect, it can be of talent or abilities or gender or ethnicity or age, it can be anything. Forming a team or a group who can work with positive aspect of diversity and without any form of conflict is what diversity is for HR.

 

Creating an environment in a workplace which is diverse and accepting the employee’s diversity as uniqueness which can help grow the organization. If an employee works in a comfortable environment where he can pitch his uniqueness to help grow the company and also works with other employees with different backgrounds communicating with each other to creatively solve problem.

 

Managing diversity:

Managing diversity without a conflict in group or organization is very difficult and important.HR has to manage everything and here are some tips on how you can try to manage diversity.

Make a work environment where the employees feel their worth and can also put forth their unique ideas for growth of company.

Performing cultural awareness and activities will lead every employee aware of how the diverse workplace feels like and how comfortable can be working in a such diverse place can be.

Activities which require team effort or building team effort activities should be performed as it can make the employee aware about the importance of team work and also unity of team grows stronger.

Good communication and good relationship between employees and also between officials and employees are necessary because then employee would not hesitate to use his creative skills.

Understanding everyone and the situation and working according to situation.

 

Diversity- strength or weakness for business.

 

Whatever the work or situation is, there is a positive aspect and also negative aspect towards it. If diversity is there, there is good and bad both for it and it depends on how to manage or understand the situation and act upon it. Right decisions will lead to a good approach towards diversity, which can bring immense growth to company or organization and wrong decisions will lead to loss to the company or organization. Depending on situation, diversity can be very useful or not useful at all and as previously said diversity is a vast ocean which will lead you somewhere with right decisions.
